The annual free Blackheath Fireworks display takes place on Saturday 3 November 2018 from 8pm. This year’s event will include:
- a funfair from 12 noon
- food and bars from 5pm
- a fireworks display from 8pm which will last around 15 minutes.
It is the biggest free display in London and regularly attracts thousands of people from across the capital and the south east.
This year’s amazing aerial display, which can be seen for miles, will once again be brought to life by local company, Emergency Exit Arts.
Lewisham Council is grateful for the generous support of businesses, partners and individuals but still welcomes donations from visitors intending to go to this year’s event.
Visitors are encouraged to support Blackheath Fireworks by making a donation:
- online via lewisham.gov.uk/fireworks
- on the night via bucket collections
- in buckets at Age Exchange in Blackheath or Hamptons International branches in Blackheath Village, Greenwich or Dulwich.
Damien Egan, Mayor of Lewisham, said: “Blackheath Fireworks is London’s only major free fireworks and each year we welcome thousands of people from London and the south east to the amazing display. It’s a well-loved family event and thanks to the generosity of our supporters and visitors it’s been going for over 30 years. If you’re joining the fun on Saturday 3 November then don’t forget to pop some money in a bucket!”
