Here’s a date for your diary. Ryan from Crofton Park is hosting a family fun day and football tournament for dads at St Dunstan’s, Catford called Festiball.

Ryan says:

It’s an urban fete with stalls of kid’s clothes, toys, books and local crafts and lots more. Then there’ll be a bake-off competition  which will be judged by a local VIP.

While the dads play football we’ll have a big family picnic with a BBQ and a local craft beer tent.

We’re putting on entertainment for the kids, face painters, magicians, balloon blowers and a penalty shootout completion.

The Football Tournament is World cup competition with hopefully 20 teams involved all getting a team from the real world cup to play for. The winner will be going onto lift a replica world cup if they win the final and will be presented by a football personality.

The reason we’re doing this is to raise money and awareness for men’s cancer. We’re supporting Prostate Cancer UK and a smaller local charity called Ballboys that educates younger boys about the perils of Testicular cancer.

I recently had a battle with testicular so it’s a cause close to my heart.”

We want teams to sign up for the football tournament and families to come to the event to enjoy.”

The event is on 15 July Ryan is looking for teams to sign up to for the football tournament.

Bring your families, it sounds like a fun day!
