Stephen says:

I recently found this picture in my late father’s papers. It shows an outing from the Glenfarg Sunday School outing to Hook Green in Kent in what I assume to be the 1920’s.

Can anyone shed any light on it?

If the picture jogs a memory please share in the comments.

This is just one of probably six different photographs (all made into postcards) that were taken on the same afternoon by a local Tunbridge Wells photographer. They date from 1922. The large party took tea and enjoyed various entertainments.

Hi, have just come across the photo and comments below and have been trying to trace a descendant of Frank Peirce and saw the comment from John Peirce. Is it possible you can contact me as we lived in the Elephants Head in the 70’s. thank you.

I appreciate this is a really old post but I am amazed. I found this site because I was looking for details of my old Sunday School in Glenfarg Road. I attended in 1950’s and loved it. I recall singing lots of hymns with hand actions, listening to fascinating stories, Christmas parties and outings.
